Researchers were asked: "Do you think researchers currently get sufficient credit for sharing data?" The bar chart displays the percentage responding "Yes" and "They receive too much credit" versus "No, they receive too little credit" for each survey year. Longitudinal data from six annual State of Open Data surveys (N = 63,625). Yearly sample sizes: 2020 (n = 12,739), 2021 (n = 15,269), 2022 (n = 22,573), 2023 (n = 6,091), 2024 (n = 3,721), 2025 (n = 3,232).
